Welcome to Voltage Scenepacks. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

Account information — when you sign in via Google, Discord, or email, we receive and store your display name, email address, and profile picture from that provider. We also record which method you signed in with and the date you were last active.
Content you upload — if you set a profile picture, or (as a creator) a profile bio, backdrop, music, social links, or scenepack images, those files and details are uploaded to and stored on our own server.
Scenepack requests — if you submit a request, the title and any notes you provide are sent to our team through a private Discord channel.
Usage data — we track scenepack views and download counts to improve the site.
Locally stored data — your login session and cached site data are stored in your browser's localStorage.
Server & log data — like most websites, our server automatically records basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type/user-agent, and request timestamps. This is used to operate the site, keep it secure, and diagnose problems.

2. How We Use Your Information

To display your profile and manage your account.
To show accurate download and view statistics.
To keep the site secure and prevent abuse.
To maintain and improve the site.

3. Hosting & Third-Party Services

Voltage Scenepacks is hosted entirely on our own private server. Your account details, profile information, uploaded files, and all site data are stored directly on our server (uploaded files are delivered through our own content-delivery subdomain) — we do not use external database or hosting providers.

A limited number of third-party services are used to power specific features:

Google and Discord — optional sign-in providers, used only if you choose to log in through them.
Google AdSense — displays advertising on our download gateway pages (see Section 7).

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is only shared with the services listed above as required to operate the site.

5. Data Retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account exists. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

6. Account Deletion

You have the right to request deletion of your account and associated data at any time. To request account deletion:

Contact us through the email provided on our Contact page with your registered email address.
Upon verification, we will delete your account information, display name, avatar, profile content, and any other personal data stored on our servers.
Note that anonymised usage data (e.g. download counts) may be retained as it is not linked to your identity.
Data held by third-party providers (Google, Discord) must be deleted directly through those services.

We aim to process all deletion requests within 14 days.

7. Cookies, Storage & Advertising

We use browser localStorage to store your session and preferences. Our download gateway pages display ads served by Google AdSense, which may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads; this is governed by Google's advertising policies. We do not use any other third-party tracking cookies.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
